Guest Comments

Since opening in 2011 we have been delighted with the feedback that we have received.  The following are some of the comments from the guest book…

July 2023…

Oaktree Cottage is a wee gem.  Great value, very comfy, very clean. Highly recommend the Three Horseshoes around the corner. Thank you!

June 2023…

GOOD holiday, good weather, good people!

May 2023…

So pleased we chose to stay at Oaktre Cottage for our holiday in Norfolk.  It has all that we needed to make our stay special and we were very much at home.  So much to see and do in North Norfolk.
Thank you for the wine.
Hope to return some time in the future.

Another week for us at the cottage, must be our 8th time.  Good for visiting family and friends, central to most places

Arrived in sunshine, which apart from Sun a.m. sunshine continued.
Done our usual visits to Wells & Fakenham (Thurs market day).  Our 4th visit to Oak Tree didn’t disappoint.  Looking forward to spending our first Christmas here.  Thank you x

April 2023

Lovely comfortable cottage.  Very enjoyable week.
Well placed cottage for local attractions.

March 2023…

We love Norfolk and Cley especially for the birds. The cottage has been ideal, cosy and restful. Weather very variable. Thank you

This was my second time here. After three years. The cottage was perfect again. Thanks.

February 2023…

Like many others, we keep coming back. This was our third visit and probably not our last. I guess that says it all. Excellent food at the Three Horseshoes.

January 2023…

First time we’ve been away for the New Year and it didn’t disappoint although we have both been full of cold. It’s like home from home, for comfort. I would highly recommend the Three Horseshoes round the corner, that’s where we spent N.Y.E. Will definitely be coming back hopefully fit and healthy next time so that we can explore Norfolk more.

December 2022…

Fantastic cottage fantastic Christmas for the second time. Peaceful around here.

November 2022…

Another wonderful stay in this cosy well equipped cottage. Hopefully back soon. Thank you!

October 2022…

Just as we remember it from my last visit some 10 years ago. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, caught up with some old friends and the great weather was an added bonus. Lovely cottage, great location.

September 2022…

Although the weather has been very unkind to us, this was all about getting to know Norfolk. We have been on the “Poppy Line” to Sheringham, wonderful steam train. We went to Holt and Cromer and hope to see Mundesley. The cottage is in a superb spot for visiting everywhere. We had the log fire going in the evenings. Walking round the field opposite before breakfast was a bonus. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

August 2022…

Another lovely time at oak tree cottage. Highly recommend French’s fish and chips at Wells. Hope to come again soon.

July 2022…

We have really enjoyed our stay in your cottage, everything you need is in it. Great to be back in Norfolk and visit many new places. Blickling Hall is one not to miss!

June 2022…

Our 6th visit to Oaktree Cottage. A home from home. Always enjoyable and comfortable. Central to most places of interest and family visits.

It was very beautiful and it was very homely.

May 2022…

As ever we have really enjoyed our stay in lovely Oaktree.  Look forward to coming again.

April 2022…

A very cosy and well equipped cottage.  It was so nice to be back in North Norfolk where I lived nearly 40 years ago.

March 2022…

Lovely cottage.  Great for exploring Norfolk xx

February 2022…

Another lovely week away.  A home from home!

January 2022…

We had a wonderful time again.  Very comfortable and enjoyable stay.  Looking forward to coming back in April

December 2021…

1st time here and what a lovely cottage.  Could not have asked for more at Christmas time.  We have re-booked for Christmas 2022.
Thank you.

October 2021…

Our fifth visit here and this time for two weeks!  Different members of the family joined us including our granddaughter aged 20 months.  A lovely holiday for all of us.  Thankyou.

Back again for our second visit and it will probably not be our last.
Enjoyed our stay despite the weather being mixed, but some days were glorious.  Wells Next The Sea was lovely in ‘T Shirt’ weather.  The Horseshoes good for local dining.

September 2021…

We have enjoyed a lovely week based in this charming cottage which has everything we needed.  Very comfortable.
Great access to the North Coast and the East of Norfolk – would highly recommend Holt, Holkham & Sheringham Park in particular.

Charming Cottage, had everything we needed including a secure shed to lock our bikes in.  Keen cyclists, we biked everyday, this cottage was a perfect location, it ticked all the boxes.  FAULTLESS x.  To eat our Recommend Thai in Thursford.  Thai Crawfish.

August 2021…

Enjoyable stay at Oaktree Cottage.  The grandchildren loved staying in a property built before Queen Victoria ascended the throne.  the Sunday roast at Hunny Bell is highly recommended.  Reading previous comments we seem to have been very unlucky with the weather, certainly no beach days.

We have had a great week here at Oaktree cottage. The cottage is perfect, and we have been very impressed by the ease of access to places such as Holt. The weather has been great and so we have enjoyed lots of sea swimming and coastal walks. Blickling and Felbrigg both great. Can highly recommend Byfords in Holt for evening meal and the Two Magpies in Blakeney for coffee

July 2021…

Good, comfortable cottage. Well situated for beaches and sightseeing. Would certainly return and recommend to others. Thank you!

June 2021…

Another week at Oaktree. This is our 4th time back. Great place to explore everything. Weather could have been better but it didn’t dampen our ‘British’ spirits. Hope to be back for a fifth time

Lovely to visit oak tree cottage again and so welcome after lockdown. Had a lovely time swimming, cycling and pottering about. And factory choc shop in Fakenham is always a must!

May 2021…

Had a great week here. Enjoyed many trips to the wonderful Norfolk beaches and long walks along the coast. Oak tree cottage is a great place to explore the area. Had a nice meal in the Hunworth Bell. Weather has been good until end of the week. Can’t complain.

A bit of a strange holiday given the odd May weather and the inability to dine out indoors. However we have enjoyed our stay in Oaktree Cottage – our first, although we know this part of Norfolk very well. We would recommend the walk from most Morston Quay to Blakeney. Wells beach never disappoints. Binham Priory and Blickling hall.

October 2020…

Wonderful week away as usual in this fab cottage.  Back soon! Thanks!

Ideal cottage and ideal location for visiting the local area. Really nice to be able to stroll to the local restaurant / pub (3 horseshoes) for lunch. Weather mostly wet but we enjoyed ourselves anyway.

September 2020…

A fab week, weather was very kind to us and the cottage or we needed. Beautifully clean and equipped. Thank you for a “safe” week away.

Feb 2020…

A lovely relaxing time in your cosy cottage.  Thank you.

All aspects of cottage perfect.  Thanks.

January 2020…

Have a relaxing stay at Oak Tree Cottage. Only 3 minutes walk to the Three Horseshoes pub! Lovely food too!! Happy to be near Holt and an amazing walk on Holkham beach . All very nice. Fresh crab at Glanford Barnes well worth buying!!

December 2019…

Had a lovely time here. Cottage is just what we needed – enjoyed having log burner on. Had great walk along Wells beach. Would happily come back here again.

November 2019…

Enjoyable stay, thank you.

Loved our stay at you cottage, but not long enough.

October 2019…

Another great stay in lovely cottage in a great location. Unfortunately the toaster tripped the main isolator switch below the fuse box. Also we didn’t find batteries for the TV remote . We had a great time nevertheless on Spooky train from Aylsham, cycled around Blickling estate on hired bikes, explored the Coast and met friends. The weather was much better than expected!
(Reply – toaster replaced, and sorry about the batteries, they must have been ‘borrowed’!)

September 2019…

An extremely nice cottage, for us it rates with some of the best we have stayed in, very cosy and comfy. A good location for the coast and places of interest. If you’re a National Trust member there are quite a few to visit. Walled gardens at Felbrigg and Blickling are particularly attractive and colourful. The railway journey from Holt to Sheringham is great, stayed on for two journeys, can make your you a bit sleepy. Enjoy

We have had a wonderful week and weather! Visited so many places, coastal towns, beaches etc. Our favourites
1. Snettisham Park deer safari and farm animals – lovely.
2 Titchwell Marsh RSPB. If you love birds it’s great and relaxing.
3 Burnham Thorpe – Nelsons birthplace. His father buried in church
4. Cley beach (shingle) sea fishing and Brancaster beach (VAST)
5 Blakeney Quay – just lovely little place shops etc and nature.
6. Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary they do a fantastic job. Lots of animals.
7 National Trust sites
At the end of each day it’s been lovely to come back to oak tree cottage. A home from home. Thank you 

October 2016…

Loved this warm, cosy, characterful cottage, a real home from home. Norfolk lived up to our expectations. We enjoyed Brancaster, Sandringham, Blakeney, and Holt. Excellent house and local information, a credit to Dave & Ailsa.

Very relaxing week, weather better at start of week. Lots of lovely villages to visit. Three Horseshoes very good – even better that you can walk there.

Thank you for enabling us to have a very enjoyable holiday. Your lovely comfortable cottage was “home from home”

September 2016…

Had a wonderful stay in your comfortable cottage. Weather has been very kind to us and we have dome some wonderful coastal walks including walking out to Blakeney Point from Cley beach – absolutely amazing.

Cottage 10/10 – met our expectations and more. Beds to die for! Apart from rain Sat & Fri, weather more like summer than autumn, broke 100 year record for September, very very hot!! Visited our usual haunts, Wells, Blakeney, Cromer & Sheringham, but Holt’s still our favourite. 1940s weekend great. Hope to come back next year. Many Thanks.

Weather great, sky at night lovely. Loved walking on sea cliffs and Blakeney.

August 2016…

Great cottage – only a few bumps on the head in the kitchen! Superb weather.

June 2016…

We came for a quiet break – and that’s what we got! Lovely cottage, well furnished/equipped. Wine and milk much appreciated.

Lovely cottage, lots of things to see and do and this is the perfect central place for doing just that. Had good meals at The Hunny Bell and The Walpole Arms. Thanks for the wine! Much appreciated.

Delightful cottage, well-presented. Great location, so much to see and do. Saw a barn owl with prey on evening stroll around village. Had some good meals at The Three Horseshoes.

Had a mostly dry week. Visited some fantastic houses and gardens. Sandringham a fabulous place. Great couny.

March 2016…

Had a great break in this comfy cottage ideally placed for exploring North Norfolk. Hope to return soon.

A lovely week at this lovely cottage for Mum’s 80th birthday. Everything we needed here, and weather good. Stairs great for ‘oldies’. Thanks again.

February 2016…

We have loved our stay here in Oaktree Cottage. It has been perfect for a cosy place to rest, relax and explore from. Such a wonderful break from busy London! We hope to come back again, and only wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you.

Lovely cottage. Great spot to venture out round the countryside. Hope to come back in Summer. Thanks.

Third stay at Oaktree Cottage. Lovely cosy cottage. Home from home. Comfortable, clean and everything you need.

January 2014…

Thank you for a lovely few days in your cottage.  Spotlessly clean and really cosy – we enjoyed our evenings by the log fire!

Lovely cottage, home from home, fantastic food in the Three Horseshoes.  Visited the seals at Horsey, wonder round Holt, walk round Sheringham Park.  Definitely be back.

This is our 2nd time here at Oaktree Cottage and it is even better than I remember.  So cosy and comfortable, just what we needed to unwind from the hustle & bustle of everyday life.  Thank you.

December 2013…

Relaxing few days in this comfortable cottage.  Just what we needed, peace and quiet!  Many Thanks.

As you can see we only live a short distance away and often come up to Norfolk for the day – lovely to spend a whole week up here in this lovely cottage.  Everything thought of for our comfort.  Thursford Spectacular was just that!  Enjoyed food at the Owl (Holt home cooking), Byfords, Hunny Bell, and Three Horseshoes.  Thank You.

Perfect for our long awaited Summer holiday!  Weather was terrible but we didn’t care in such a comfortable well equipped cottage.  The walk to the Hunny Bell when the sun did come out was well worth it.  We hope to be back.

November 2013…

Have enjoyed our stay here.  Thank you for a very nice cottage.

Lovely comfortable cottage.  We have had a lovely relaxing time.  Thank you for the wine! Delicious!

Enjoyed our stay – very nice cottage.

A truly lovely cottage & a few relaxing days here in lovely Norfolk.  Thank you for the wine.

September 2013…

Fantastic week!  Amazing weather, lovely cottage, and so much to do within a short distance.  Brilliant are for cycling (e.g. Salle, Heydon, Marriotts Way, Holkham Park etc)  Best views from Incleborough Hill and Cromer church tower.  Stunning beaches at Holkham bay and Overstrand.  Recommend Wed steak night at the Three Horseshoes.

Our second visit.  Mixed weather but such a wonderful cottage to come home to and light the log burner.  We relaxed and slowed the pace of life.  Highlight visits to Blickling Hall (we got there early and had a guided tour before the house opened to all at 12).  We loved the wide open beautiful beach at Holkham.  There was a scenic walk around Sheringham Park – do climb the Gazebo for the best views.  Lots of interesting villages and historical sites.  Not enough time for everywhere – must come back again.

A really comfortable cottage, have had a nostalgic week revisiting places we haven’t been to for forty years, several changes have taken place, weather has been lovely for this time of year.  Thanks for hospitality, wine etc.

August 2013…

Fantastic holiday! Beautiful beaches – Wells and Brancaster.  Crabbing at Wells + Blakeney.  Also say loads of seals off  Blakeney on a boat trip – fantastic!  Holkham adventure park good for a non-beach day but it rained when we planned to go to the beach.  We will definitely be back!!

We have really enjoyed staying in this lovely cottage.  It couldn’t have been any better either for its comfort and well-equipped refinement, or for its position which has enabled us to explore this beautiful part of Norfolk.  The girls particularly liked the beaches at Holkham and Wells, and the little town of Holt has everything you could need and more.  We will be back!

A wonderful relaxing week in a delightful cottage.  Well equipped in a lovely location.  Lovely location, nothing is too far away which was brilliant for us as G was convalescing following an op the week before we came away.  We loved Sandringham and of course Cromer and its crabs.  Will definitely come again.

July 2013…

We had a fabulous week and all thought the cottage was perfect, every little thing was thought of – didn’t need to bring anything really!  Thank you so much for the milk & wine – a really thoughtful touch.  Oaktree Cottage is in the perfect spot and we managed to see so much, our first trip to Norfolk but hopefully not our last!  Highly recommended – Norfolk and Oaktree.

Enjoyed our stay in Oaktree.  Fab weather.  Everyone in the village so friendly.  Lovely country walks on permissive paths.  Hope to return next year!

Really well equipped and comfortable cottage, and a good base for exploring the area.  We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found all the local info very helpful. We would recommend Oaktree Cottage.

We had a great time and loved Oaktree Cottage.
We especially enjoyed the train journey on the Bure Valley Railway followed by boat trip on the Liana (Broads).
We also recommend Pensthorpe Nature Reserve with nice cafe.
The sausages in the village butchers are very tasty & the bread is good from the bakers next to it.
Thank you for the milk & wine.

June 2013…

We have had a most enjoyable week here at Oak Tree Cottage. We haven’t had enough time to see and do all that we wanted to do, so we hope to come back again soon.
Byfords at Holt recommended for nice meals and excellent service.
Thank you for the milk & wine.

Another great week at the cottage.  Have now seen “most” of Norfolk…

This is our second visit to Oaktree, and again have had a brilliant time. Brought my mum with us this time, who lived in the village many years ago. It was a trip down memory lane for her.
Hope to make it a “Hat Trick”

May 2013…

We have had a brilliant week. This is one of the best cottages we have stayed in!  The children loved the area and have already asked if we can return again soon.
Thank you for a super week!!!

Wonderful family cottage & great location for visiting many Norfolk attractions. Would recommend Sheringham Park, Holkham Hall & beach, and the steam train to name a few.
Food and service in the Three Horseshoes was great, well worth a visit & to help support a worthy local business.

Weather on the whole dry, but COLD! Especially when cycling. Excellent for cycling though – quiet roads and numerous routes. Friendly folk offering help whenever we stopped to check maps!
Great bird watching opportunities – on one day saw 6 Barn owls when out cycling – one very close. Thank you for very comfortable stay. Wine & milk appreciated.

We’ve had a lovely stay with all the comforts of home. Love the cottage, sitting in the garden in the morning sunshine.
Had a nice day at Holcombe Hall, Sheringham, and Cromer. We have been so lucky with the weather! Hope to come again. Thank You.

April 2013…

Lovely cosy cottage with excellent facilities.  We have enjoyed our stay here this week.  We have never been to the area before and have found plenty to places to visit, Holkham Hall is excellent.
Hope to return.

We have enjoyed our stay and appreciated the facilities at Oaktree Cottage.
As well as the well know attractions we’d recommend the Defra Countryside Walks which are right on the doorstep.

March 2013…

Very cosy cottage, you have thought of everything!
Weather was kind to us.  What a discovery! Love it.

We have had a lovely stay at Oaktree Cottage – so much so that we booked an extra three days here!  The lanes in the area have been perfect for cycling, almost traffic free.  Maps in the cottage very helpful in planning our routes.
Hunny Bell perfect for early evening drinks after the circular walk through Stody.
Top tip if you fancy a trip to Norwich, use the airport park and ride, which is on this side of town, will take you into the centre, and only costs a couple of pounds.  Takes the stress out of town driving.

February 2013…

All of the above (below!).  Cannot wait to come back, most relaxing.
Looking forward to coming back very soon.

December 2012…

Lovely cottage, especially with log burner. Perfect for Christmas away. Wine and tree a lovely touch, thank you! Loved Holt, Boxing Day walking on the beach at Wells. Very relaxing. Shame weather couldn’t have been better. Really enjoyed the cottage and our visit.

Warm and welcoming cottage, felt like home very quickly. Lovely to come back to after walks and exploring the area. Recommend “The Pigs” and “The Hunny Bell”. Would definitely come back.

November 2012…

(4 week stay) A pleasant place to stay, all that one could want for a complete break.  Shame about the weather, but then it was November.  Thanks for recommending the “Thursford Xmas” a great show.

Had a lovely week here at Oaktree Cottage, got lucky with the weather and only had one day of rain!  With a 3yr old and a 19 month old we had most evening meals at home, and highly recommend M+M Rutland family butchers (in the village) – fantastic sausages.  Dinosour Adventure Park is also a great day out.

October 2012…

Enjoyed our 2nd visit, and seeing Norfolk in Autumn.  Looking forward to coming back once more

Very comfortable cottage, enjoyed our stay.  Recommend Wiverton Bell for eating out.  Also Recommend Chris Mills of Norfolk Birding and Cley Spy for optics, both very professional.

September 2012…

Lovely, well equipped cottage, a fantastic break with great weather.  We will definitely be back again soon!

Really lovely cottage with everything for our needs.  Plenty to do in the area.  Enjoyed the 1940s event in Sheringham on our first weekend.  Good value meals at ‘The Running Horses at Fakenham (opposite Morrisons).  Thank You.

August 2012…

Fantastic cottage, very well presented, whole area lovely.
Holt great, fab shops & cafes.
National Trust excellent and on doorstep.  Breathtaking countryside winding lanes and big blue skies.  Fabulous!

Lovely cottage.  Pretty area.  Lots to do and see.
Really comfortable beds!!
Good Weather.

We have really enjoyed our stay in Oaktree Cottage.  The atmosphere was very cosy, relaxed and welcoming to come back to.  We had lovely weather with temperatures up to 32C but it got cooler throughout the week.  Our favourite parts were going on the boat trip to see the seals in Blakeney, Horsey wind pump, where we walked up to see some seals on the beach, and eating out at the Running Horse.  Thank You!

Very nice part of Norfolk.  Comfortable and peaceful cottage, we can hear only the birds singing.  Weather was not so very good, but we enjoyed the villages, the beaches (walking not swimming!), pubs (excellent beers) and some shops (Rutland in Melton Constable, Fishmonger in Briston etc.)

July 2012…

We really enjoyed our stay on this lovely cottage.  Ideal Location.  A highlight was a boat trip on the Broads.  Enjoyed seeing Sandringham and Blickling too.

Second year equally enjoyable!

We came for a quiet break – and that’s what we got.  Lovely cottage, well furnished / equipped.  Wine & milk much appreciated.

June 2012…

Lovely cottage, lots of things to see and do and this is the perfect central place for doing just that.  Had good meals at the Hunny Bell and Walpole Arms.  Thanks for the wine – much appreciated!

Delightful cottage, well presented, great location, so much to see and do.  Saw a barn owl, with prey, on an evening stroll around the village.  Had some good meals at the Three Horseshoes.

Had a mostly dry week.  Visited some fantastic houses and gardens.  Sandringham a fabulous place (closed Tuesday 12th Queens garden party).  Great County.

May 2012…

Wonderful, warm 5* cottage to come back to each day after exploring coast and villages.  Manged to avoid the rain until last 2 days when we got slightly damp walking form Blakeney to Morston and the coast path at Sheringham.  Saw barn owl hunting in the fields at Morston.   Everyone very friendly and helpful.  Have enjoyed local cheeses and meats and fish so going home slightly larger than when we arrived.  Bittern Line train to Norwich very good.  PS We saw a peacock on the hedge across the road one evening!  No we hadn’t had too much local ale!!

Beautifully appointed & comfortable cottage.  Nice area, nice people and a friendly village too!  No doubt at all that we shall be returning to Oaktree next year.
PS for the best butcher’s and a great variety of sausages, a visit to Rutlands in Melton Constable is a must.  30 different sorts of bangers – BBQ heaven indeed.  Oh and the pancake shop at Wells… (The Albatross ship in the harbour).

Had a lovely week, weather good, plenty of sunshine.  Cottage very comfortable with everything you need.  Explored a good bit of Norfolk but still plenty more to see.  Many Thanks!

April 2012…

A lovely cottage, lovely views.  We did lots of brilliant things but my favourite thing was Blickling Hall.  Thank you so much for letting us stay here.

We have really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and cosy cottage.  Weather was a slight disappointment after the ‘heatwave’, but found plenty to do with a 5-yr old (suggest bowling alley at Fakenham for a wet afternoon!).  The Three Horseshoes in Briston has good food.

Despite 3 weeks of the wettest & windiest April in ages, the cottage is a very comfortable base to explore the whole of Norfolk from.  The area has a whole load of things to do that kept me occupied & interested despite the weather, & Oaktree Cottage was the ideal place to do it from.

March 2012…

A well equipped and comfortable cottage.  Wi-Fi appreciated.
Amazing weather for March, and an excellent week.

A great week – weather and walks.  Walked mostly in National Trust parks and Sandringham.  Couldn’t ask for more from a holiday cottage, and we’ve stayed in many.  Really loved staying here.
Norfolk Larder in Briston provided us with dressed crabs for lunch picnics and fish for tea – marvellous!

A lovely comfortable, and well equipped cottage.  We really enjoyed our stay.

Again Excellent cottage!
Weather was fantastic all weekend.  Thanks.

Drought Conditions?  Not this week!!
Enjoyed staying at this well organised, well equipped, and well positioned cottage.  We feel lucky to have found it from the many that are advertised.

Feb 2012…
We have had a lovely week in snowy Briston.  Although the weather has been cold, we have been lovely and cosy in this charming cottage, and have managed to find something to do every day.

We have had a lovely stay in this well-equipped cottage!  We have been to places such as Burnham Market, Norwich, and Wells.  Weather has been good, and we would stay here again (smiley!).

What a gem in North Norfolk.  Beautiful cottage, weather great (17C on Thursday).  Hope to return.  Many Thanks

A lovely warm cosy cottage.  Perfect location for touring North Norfolk coast and countryside.  (Blickling Hall Superb).

Jan 2012…
Our second visit & still loads to do.  Cottage warm & cosy, and weather fantastic.  Great walks.

November 2011…
Very comfortable cottage, well equipped and warm.  Lovely coast, friendly people.  Visited Holt Christmas lights and shops.  Visiting Pensthorpe today…

A great break, the cottage was excellent and next time we’ll come for longer as there was so much we didn’t get to do.  Thankyou.

A lovely break in an excellent cottage, so well equipped and welcoming.  Our appetites are wetted for further visits to the area.

October 2011…
A superb week’s weather in a beautiful cottage.  Very comfortable and well equipped.  We enjoyed visiting Sandringham, eating crab and mussels, watching the deer at Holkham hall,  & walking the beach between Wells and Holkham.

Our first visit to Norfolk & we found Oaktree Cottage a great base for exploring.  With a 2 year old we stay in at night and found everything that we needed to cook & enjoyed the fire on a few cold nights.  A really comfortable, cosy, and well equipped cottage.

We had a great stay, the cottage was ideal, very cosy fire!  Had good weather throughout and managed to spend sunny days at local gardens and towns.  Lots more to do so we will be back.  Thanks.

Near record breaking Indian Summer with unbroken sunshine & temperature around 25C + all week.  Hunny Bell highly recommended.  Cottage very comfortable.
Enjoyed various coastal walks and the boat trip to Blakeney Point.  Grounds of Holkham Hall very impressive – interesting to see the project to restore the walled gardens.
Coasthopper bus service very useful for doing linear walks along the coast.

September 2011…
Enjoyed our week in Norfolk.   Lovely cottage, and supplied all our needs.  Weather good so enabled us to go to many different places.  2 hour boat trip on the Broads was good fun.  Countryside so attractive, and so much more to see, so we will return.  Many Thanks.

Again – excellent cottage, Enjoyed visit.  Thanks

Had a great holiday despite the rain!  Lovely beaches and pretty villages.  Much more than we had time to do and hope to return to explore more.

August 2011…
We had a great time here at the cottage.  The Pigs pub and the beach at Wells were some of the bast parts.  Even the weather was great. Very Many Thanks!

Had a lovely week here.  Highlight was hiring a boat on the broads.  Shire horse rescue centre good for animal lovers.  Boys enjoyed the tank museum!  Had a lovely meal at the Hunny Bell.  Thank you.

We really enjoyed our 2 weeks in your lovely, cosy cottage.  We have visited so many wonderful places, Holkham beach, Cromer, Sheringham, the Dinasaur Adventure Park, the North Norfolk and Bure Valley Railways, and a trip on the broads.  Hunny Bell pub excellent for great food. Thank you very much indeed.

July 2011…
Have visited N. Norfolk regularly over 30+ years, but never stayed in Briston.  Thoroughly enjoyed this visit.  Delightful cottage.  Great off-road country walks on our doorstep.  Will be back!!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely and cosy cottage.  Although the weather did not fully comply with a “summer feeling” the cottage did not disappoint us. Nice region!  We visited Norwich, Norfolk Lavender, Blickling Hall etc.  Again we did appreciate the cottage.
Thank you very much!!

June 2011…
We have had such a lovely time here that we have booked to come back!  There is just so much to see and do.  Blickling Hall is well worth a visit.  We enjoyed some great cycle rides as well as the beaches at Holkham and Wells (though not much sea when the tide is out).

A beautiful and well equipped cottage. We just love the coastline here, and the bird life. The coastal Hopper bus has been most useful!
We hope to return!
Thank you!

We have enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage.  Beautifully decorated – we love the artworks, and everything provided to a high standard.  We have particularly enjoyed the birdlife here, on the coast, and at Pensthorpe.  We shall need 2 weeks next time!

Cosy, warm, relaxing cottage in great position for local attractions.  Steam train from Holt to Sheringham enjoyable experience.

May 2011…
Thoroughly enjoyed our week in cottage.  Good facilities.  Thought the countryside might be flat, but it’s not at all, and looked wonderful in the sunshine.

We loved our stay at Oak Tree Cottage + Exploring the surrounding area. Brilliant cottage, great weather, and an excellent holiday.
Thank You.

I have had a great stay in Oak Tree Cottage Briston. We explored the area and found a beautiful location with lovely friendly people.
We will definitely be back, possibly in July for the flower show at Sandringham!
Thank You!

April 2011…
Tastefully furnished cottage. Everything provided. Loved the tree lined lanes. Best seaside Hunstanton, lovely walks through Stody. Stody Garden and Blickling are stunning.

Cosy comfortable cottage in great position from which to travel. We have been lucky with the weather so the outdoor furniture was useful!

Lovely Cottage in perfect location for touring Norfolk.
We enjoyed every moment here.
Wish we had booked 2 weeks stay.

March 2011…
“Fantastic Cottage.
Superb Location.
Had a wonderful stay, and hope to be back later in the year.
THANKS.”
