Oaktree cottage was built in the early 19th Century, and has been updated and improved over the years without losing any of its charm. The cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms (one king-size, and one twin).
Downstairs you will find:
A well equipped kitchen-diner, featuring Neff appliances (ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, and larder fridge), high quality pots and pans, and a farmhouse dining table which comfortably seats four people.
A separate utility room provides a washer/dryer, iron, ironing board, full-size freezer, downstairs toilet, and additional storage space. It’s also the ideal drying space for waterproofs if you’re unlucky with the weather!
The lounge, furnished with comfortable sofas and chair, a 32″ flat panel TV, DVD surround-sound system, Freesat HD, wood-burning stove (initial fuel included), and a selection of books, DVDs and games. The lounge retains the original oak beams, and is heated by the oil-fired central heating.

Heading up the stairs…
Bedroom 1 containing a king-size bed, fitted wardrobes, bedside lockers, a chest of drawers and a chair. The bed provides a comfortable high-quality mattress, and the bedding is luxury Egyptian cotton to ensure you have a good night’s sleep. An all-season duvet (4.5, 9 and 13.5 tog) is provided, as are four pillows.
Main Bedroom with Kingsize Bed and Fitted Wardrobes
Bedroom 2 contains two single beds, a wardrobe, locker and chest of drawers. Again, the beds feature high quality mattresses, luxury Egyptian cotton bedding, and all-season duvets.
Second Bedroom with Twin Beds and Pine Furniture
The bathroom has a full-size bath with a power shower over (hot water provided by oil-fired central heating) , and a wash-basin with an undersink cupboard and obscured windows. Towels are also provided.

We also have a separate w/c with a hand basin and obscured windows, which is ideal for couples sharing the cottage, to provide additional privacy and bathroom space
